Kolhapur, Jan 12 : A state-level four-day kabaddi tournament will be held at Shindewadi in Kagal tehsil of the district from January 30. A total 16 teams, each of male and female from districts of Mumbai, Pune, Ahemadnagar, Nashik, Thane, Raigad, Solapur, Ratnagiri, Satara, Palghar and Kolhapur would participate in this tournament which will be played on the mat, organisers said in a statement here on Sunday.
More than 500 kabaddi players, including those who have done well in national and international competitions and in pro-kabaddi tournaments will take part in the four day competition.
The tournament will be organised by the Navjawan Tarun Mandal at Shindewadi, in association with the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association and District Kabaddi Association, said Dattaram Kharade, vice-president of District Kabaddi Association said in a statement. (UNI)
