Chennai, Dec 3 : As per the December rankings, Joshna Chinappa has regained the honour of being the highest ranked Indian in the professional circuit.
A SRFI release here today said India's ace Saurav Ghosal slipped two rungs to 13 in the latest men's world rankings and in the process lost to Joshna Chinappa, ranked 12 in the women's section, the privilege of being the highest ranked Indian in the professional squash circuit.
The nearest Indian male players behind Ghosal are Ramit Tandon,who remained on 48, Mahesh Mangaonkar on 52, Vikram Malhotra on 58 and Aditya Jagtap on 71. In the women's section, nearest behind Joshna was Sunayna Kuruvilla on 72.
All the rest were past the 100 mark. Incidentally there are currently 42 Indians, 26 of them in the men's section, registered in the PSA circuit. (UNI)
