Dubai, Nov 24 : The no. 1 ranked Test Team India has pushed the likes of Australia and New Zealand to second and third positions respectively in the ICC World Test Championship standings.

India have 360 points and are at the top of World Test Championship. They have played 7 matches and won 7.

Australia from six matches have won 3, lost 2 and drawn 1 keeping them at second spot with 116 points while New Zealand have won 1 from 2 matches and lost 1 are at third position with 60 points.

India who defeated Bangladesh in both Tests by an innings will now travel to New Zealand for two Test series beginning from February 21. The points awarded to the team for winning a single Test will depend on the number of matches in the Test series. For example, India were awarded 60 points for winning the first Test against West Indies because the series had two Tests.

If the next Test match ends in a draw or no result, both teams will gain 30 points each. In the event of a draw, both teams get 20 points each. The finals will take place in the UK in June 2021 from top top two teams while the winners earn the World Test championship title. (UNI)
