Jesus Perez, assistant coach of Mauricio Pochettino, has bid an emotional farewell to Tottenham Hotspur following the shock sacking of his master Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday evening.
After a string of poor results, Coach Mauricio Pochettino - along with assistant coach Perez and the rest of his coaching staff -lost their jobs.
Perez has become a cult hero among Spurs fans for his passionate approach to the job, and to Twitter to reflect on Spurs' announcement.
Tweeting a picture of himself, Pochettino and the rest of the coaching staff in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium dugout, Perez wrote: "#COYS. Thank you from our heart to our players , staff, and special thanks to you all , lovely Spurs Fans ."
During Pochettino's five-and-a-half years in north London, he delivered four successive top-four finishes in the Premier League, which included two title challenges.
The Argentina also led Spurs on a memorable run to the European Cup final last season and developed the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Heung-min Son and Christian Eriksen into top-class players.
But chairman Daniel Levy grew impatient with a decline in form this calendar year as Spurs took only 23 points from their last 24 Premier League games.
