Indore, Nov 14: India were 86/1 at stumps after 26 overs on day one of the first Test after bundling Bangladesh for 150 in first innings here at Holkar Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
India still trail by 64 runs with nine wickets remaining in the innings in reply to Bangladesh 150 in 58.3 overs from first innings. Mayank Agarwal 37 and Cheteshwar Pujara 43 were at the crease when the stumps was called off.
Agarwal scored 37 off 81 which included six fours while Pujara 43 off 61 (7 fours). India lost opener Rohit Sharma for 6 after facing 14 balls (1 four) caught by Liton Das in Abu Jayed's spell. Then Pujara and Agarwal added 72 runs for the second wicket after Rohit's departure.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first but lost their openers inside 12 runs after which they surrendered before the Indian bowlers and their first innings ended at 150 in 58.3 overs. For India Mohammed Shami took 3/27, Ishant Sharma 2/20, Umesh Yadav 2/47 and Ravichandran Ashwin 2/43.
Leading run getters for Bangladesh were Mushfiqur Rahim 43, and skipper Mominul Haque 37. The visitors lost 3 wickets till Lunch afters coring 63 runs while at Tea were 140/7. After Tea they lost their remaining 3 wickets ending their innings on day one. (UNI)
