Accra, Oct 31 : The head coach of Ghana's Black Stars Kwesi Appiah has named Dalian Yifang's Emmanuel Boateng in his 23-man squad for the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe next month.
Ghana will host South Africa on Nov. 14 at the China-built stadium in Cape Coast, before traveling to face Sao Tome and Principe four days later.
Appiah has handed call ups to a number of new players including Spain-based duo Iddrisu Baba and Mohammed Salisu, as well as Germany-based Christopher Antwi-Adjei.
Ghana is housed in Group C of the qualifiers, alongside with South Africa, Sao Tome and Principe, and Sudan. The 2021 AFCON tournament will be hosted by Cameroon. (XINHUA)
