New Delhi, Aug 27: Indian Men's Hockey experienced midfielder Chinglensana Singh Kangujam who was recently nominated for the prestigious Arjuna Award this year by the selection committee for national sports swards said, it was a huge honour for him to have been nominated for India's second-highest civilian award for a sportsperson.
The National Sports Awards are set to take place on the occasion of the National Sports Day, on August 29 here in the Capital.
The 27-year-old midfielder who was part of the men's hockey has won several tournaments including the Asian Games 2014, Asia Cup 2017 and Asian Champions Trophy 2018.
The talented Manipur midfielder, who made his International debut for the senior team in 2011 when he represented the country at the Champions Challenge in South Africa, is one of the few players in the current Indian team to have completed more than 200 International Caps. (UNI)
