England had to settle for a draw in the second Ashes Test, after giving a huge threat to Australia. With a winning target of 267, Australia could reach only at 154 for 6 in the second innings and the second test ended in a draw.
England pacer Jofra Archer and spinner Jack Leach could spook Australia by scalping three wickets each. But Marcus Labuschagne who came in as a concussion substitute for Steve Smith played a gritty knock to pull Australia out of a disaster. A partnership with Travis Head could add 85 runs to the innings. After the dismissal of Marcus, Cummins joined with Travis Head to stabilise Australia and reach out a draw.
Earlier Ben Stokes made a spectacular century for England which helped the host to declare on 258 for 5 in the second innings.
