Windhoek, Jul 24: Namibia Premier Football League's transfer window period and player registration for the 2019/2020 season, will officially open on Wednesday.
The country's football governing body NFA said Tuesday that the first window will open Wednesday and close on September 27 with the season expected to commence around the end of September/early October.
The NFA secretariat in a statement told the clubs that no extension will be granted, and urged clubs to thoroughly make use of this period.
"It is a requirement for every player to have a national identity number in order for him/her to be registered as it will form part of a player's a unique player's registration number," the NFA said.
According to the NFA, only player passes received on or before Wednesday will be validated in order for the player to participate when the season commences.
World football governing body FIFA has endorsed NFA's decision not to promote or relegate any teams for the upcoming season. (UNI-XINHUA)
