Jakarta, Jul 19 : India's star shuttler P V Sindhu continuing her winning momentum edged out World no 3 Nozomi Okuhara to enter the semi-finals of the Indonesia Open here on Friday.
Olympic silver medallist defeated her Japanese rival in straight sets 21-14, 21-7 finishing the game in 44 minutes. The world no 5, Sindhu started on positive note taking 3-0 lead, but Okuhara levelled score 5-5 and then 6-6. The Indian shuttler raced ahead to gain 5 points and won the first set 21-14.
In the second game, Sindhu kept her dominance and didn't allow her opponent to come back and ended the match in her favour by 21-7.Sindhu now faces China's world number two Chen Yu Fei in the semi-final on Saturday. (UNI)
