Chandigarh, Jul 19 : Third seeded Indian pair of N Vijay Sundar Prashanth and Vishnu Vardhan advanced into doubles semi-final at the expense of Netherlands pair of Gijs Brouwer and Jelle Sels in quarter-finals of the € 46,600 Dutch Open ATP Challenger in Amersfoort (Netherlands).
The Indian duo staged a comeback after losing the first set by registering 6-7 (3), 6-3, 10-2 verdict in one hour and 32 minutes. Prashanth-Vardhan had a high percentage by winning 81 percent points (34/42) on first service and 52 per cent (16/31) on second service. Brouwer-Sels earned 27 points out of 38 (71 per cent) on their first service and 14 out of 34 (41 per cent) on second service.
Prashanth-Vardhan saved seven out of eight break points and won two out of 12 breakpoints.Brouwer-Sels saved 10 out of 12 break points and won a solitary break point out of eight. (UNI)
