Jakarta, Jul 18: India's star shuttler P V Sindhu edged out Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark in the second-round to enter quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament here on Thursday.
Fifth-seed Sindhu beat Blichfeldt 21-14, 17-21, 21-11 ending the game in 62 minutes.
Indian shuttler had an easy win in the first game without much sweat 21-14, but in the second the Denmark player put up a spirited fight to win 21-17 against Sindhu taking the game to decider.
In the final game, Sindhu kept her dominance pushing her opponent on backfoot taking away the game 21-11 to make her way to round three.
Meanwhile, in the men's doubles Indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty crashed out of the event after they were edged out by Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo of Indonesia in straight games. (UNI)
