The backbone of New Zeland batting, Captain Kane Williamson has gone giving a catch in the World Cup Cricket final against England at Lord’s on Sunday. England score is now at 108 for 2 after 24 overs.
Kane Williamson, who follows a cautious batting plan, was caught by Jos Buttler off Liam Plunkett. Though Williamson challenged the umpire decision, the review has confirmed the ball touching the bat and the umpire promptly made the decision of giving OUT. Kane Williamson got 30 runs off 53 balls which includes two boundaries. But together with Henry Nicholls, Williamson built a first wicket partnership which drove England score past 100. Timely wicket for England as the partnership was starting to flourish.
