Dhoni, Jadeja in the limelight for their brave fight

Though India was defeated by New Zealand in the semifinals, the last minute effort by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja is getting all the praise across social media.

From doyens of cricket such as Sachin, Sehwag etc. to the ordinary cricket fans shower praises on social media about the brave battle did by both Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja. For Dhoni, coming in to bat at 71 for 5, it was not easy to accelerate straightaway and it needed a rebuilding which he did alongside Ravindra Jadeja. They together build a partnership of more than 116 runs when India needed it most.

After calling Jadeja as ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer, finally Sanjay Manjrekar also praised Jadeja for his blitzkrieg innings.

Journalist Prannoy Roy “At a time like this everyone has ifs and buts about him. I will say categorically that Dhoni is simply the best cricketer, leader and human being. Your time is not done yet Dhoni. You have lots more to contribute. Your fitness defies age”

Jadeja made a spectacular 77 off 108 balls. Dhoni scored 50 off 72 balls in India's 18-run defeat at the hands of the Black Caps.

Asked as to why Dhoni was sent at no 7, Kohli said the gameplan was to allow him to act as a damage controller if the need arises.
