New Delhi, May 15 : Indian shooters Kynan Chenai and Prithviraj Tondaiman had a good opening on day five of the ongoing ISSF Shotgun World Championship with two perfect rounds of 25 each to lead 109 players in qualification round of the Men's Trap Shooting in Changwon, Korea on Wednesday.
Three more rounds will be held on Thursday and among them top six will be the medal contenders. For India if Kynan and Prithviraj continue with their impressive form they are sure of medals.
Along with Kynan and Prithviraj Great Britain and Kazakhstan shooters are also in the lead.
Meanwhile, another Indian shooter Zoravar Singh Sandhu, shot 45/50 remains at 82nd spot.
In the women's trap which ended on Wednesday, Shagun Chowdhary shot a total of 115 earning 35th spot while Rajeshwari Kumari scored 99 to end at 56th. Lakshay Sheoran, in the non-competition MQS section, registered a score of 48 after the first two rounds in the men’s trap. (UNI)
