Paris, Apr 3 : Rennes took on Ramy Bensebaini's late strike to sink Lyon 3-2 and reach the French Cup final on Tuesday.

Rennes went ahead twice through goals from Mbaye Niang and Benjamin Andre, but Lyon displayed resilience at home stadium and came back thanks to Bertrand Traore's shot and Moussa Dembele's spot kick.

Niang poked home on Ismaila Sarr's cross from the right flank in the 40th minute to gift the visitors’ one-goal margin into the halftime.
Two minutes after the restart, Traore fired a low shot at the far corner of the net. Andre, the Rennes skipper, latched onto Hatem Ben Arfa's corner kick for a header in the 55th minute. Lyon once again managed to find an equalizer with quarter of an hour remaining, when Andre was ruled handball inside the box and Dembele converted the ensuing penalty.

Despite Benjamin Bourigeaud's poor effort on Ben Arfa's cross, Bensebaini saw his turnaround volley out of goalkeeper Anthony Lopes' reach in the 81st minute. The other semifinal will be played on Wednesday between holders Paris Saint-Germain and Nantes. The winner will take on Rennes at the Stade de France for the title on April 27. XINHUA
