After losing a winning match to Kings XI Punjab in Mohali, Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer has said that he was speechless following the defeat. "Yes, it is very disappointing. We didn't play a better game and the opposition team outplayed us in all the departments.Punjab were really cool and calm in that situation. I am really speechless. It was a crucial match and losing such matches is not going to benefit us," said Iyer after losing the match.
Earlier, Delhi somehow, had won the match against Kolkata by three runs in super over. This was the second time after that Delhi has failed to take advantage of favorable conditions. Delhi were going strong at 144 for 3 in the 17th over, chasing 167 but Sam Curran's hat-trick saw the visitors being bowled out for 152 in 19.2 overs.
"Even against the Kolkata, our batsmen surrendered very easily, following which the match went in super over. However, Kagiso Rabada's excellent bowling saved us from defeat," he added. (UNI)
