2019 PGA Tour Series-China to tee-off in Sanya on April 4th

Sanya, Mar 28 : The 2019 PGA Tour Series-China will tee-off for its regular season with back-to-back events in China's southern city of Sanya from April 4 to 7.

The PGA Tour Series-China will feature a total of 14 tournaments during its 2019 season. The Sanya Championship will be the second event in its 14-tournament schedule after the Poly Golf Club stages the second annual Chongqing Championship from March 25 to 31.

Sanya Yalong Bay Golf Club will host the Sanya Championship. A total of 144 top golfers from all over the world will gather in Sanya to compete for prizes totaling 1.6 million yuan (230,000 US dollars).

Yalong Bay Golf Club has hosted many international professional golf tournaments. This year will mark the first time for the club to host a PGA Tour Series-China event in April. The golf club is working closely with PGA Tour Series-China to present its course in the best-possible condition for players from around the world.
The PGA Tour established the PGA Tour Series-China in 2014. The event is its third international developmental tour, following in the footsteps of PGA TOUR Latin-American and the Mackenzie Tour - PGA Tour Canada. Since the event's inception, PGA Tour Series-China players have received Official World Golf Ranking points for top finishes at official tournaments. (UNI)
