Chandigarh, Mar 21 : Qualifier Prajnesh Gunneswaran of India has been drawn to face Juame Munar of Spain in the first round of the $ 8,359,455 ATP Challenger 1000 Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Twenty one years old Jaume Munar is ranked 61 and Prajnesh is ranked 84th. In the final qualifying round, Prajnesh Gunneswaran, who hails from Chennai, defeated wild card entrant Jay Clarke of Great Britain in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 in 90 minutes, fired seven aces and committed two double faults. Ranked 84th, Prajnesh saved both break points he faced and won two out of seven break points. He won 27 out of 34 points on first service and 18 out of 25 points on second service.
Jay Clarke, ranked 194th, served six aces and committed four double faults. He scored 34 out of 45 points on first service and 15 out of 39 on second service. He saved five out of seven break points.UNI
