Putting an end to all speculations, Dorset police on Thursday night confirmed that a body recovered from the wreckage of a crashed plane was identified as Cardiff City player Emiliano Sala.
The identification report confirmed that the body is that of Emiliano Sala. Body was recovered from the wreckage in the sea on Thursday morning and the Geo Ocean III, the boat carrying the body, arrived at Portland Harbour. After that the recovered body had sent to the coroner for identification.
The wreckage of the plane, which vanished two weeks ago over the English Channel, had been found off Guernsey.
Sala was flying from France to join English Premier League side Cardiff City, when his flight disappeared on January 22. Sala was flying to join up with Cardiff from French team Nantes in what was the most expensive signing in the Welsh club's history.
