Kiwis lose eight wickets; India heading to a win

Chasing India's huge score, New Zealand batting line-up crashed in the second one day international (ODI) on Sunday at Mount Maunganui with loss of eight wickets for 166.

While Indian pacers Mohammed Shami and Bhuvaneshwar began the nightmare of Kiwis by scalping precious wickets of Matin Guptill and Kane Williamsom. Later, Indian spinner Kuldip scalped took four wickets of New Zealand in his six overs.

India made a huge total of 324 in the second one day international (ODI) against New Zealand on Sunday at Mount Maunganui.

New Zealand lost their opener Martin Guptill (15) and Captain Kane Williamson (20). While Bhuvaneshwar Kumar scalped Guptill, Mohammed Shami got Williamson's wicket. New Zeland are struggling now at 53/2.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in the 2nd ODI of the five-match series here on Saturday. Rohit Sharma took 87 runs off 96 balls which include three sixers and nine boundaries. Opener Shikhar Dhawan also made 66 runs. When India completed 50 overs, Wicket Keeper Dhoni (48) and Jadav (10) were on creat. India lost wickets of Kohli (43), Ambati Rayudu (47) apart from that of Rohit and Dhawan.

India are 1-0 up in the series.

India have retained the same side as in first ODI at Napier while for New Zealand spinner Sodhi comes in for Santner and all-rounder Grandhomme replaces Southee.
