Napier, Jan 23: India won the first ODI against New Zealand with the help of solid batting by Shikhar Dhawan, who made a half century, and Virat Kohli (45).
The famous New Zeland bowling attack crashed in front of Indian frontline batsmen. Shikhar Dhawan made 75 off 103 balls which include 6 boundaries. Virat Kohli's blitzkrieg of 45 runs off 59 balls helped India to gallop into the victory. India reached the winning target of 156(revised target after Sun outage) for the loss of two wickets off 34.5 overs.
