Mumbai, Dec 22 : Indian ace shutller PV Sindhu registered a hard-fought win over Spanish player Carolina Marin in the fourth match of the first Tie between Hyderabad Hunters and Pune 7 Ace in fourth edition of the Premier Badminton Leauge here at the National Sports Club of India on Saturday.
Hyderabad Hunters started their campaign with the win and also they clinched the Tie with (1)- (6) scoreline over Pune.
Hunter's Sindhu won the match 15-11, 8-15, 13-15. After losing the first game, Sindhu made a brilliant come back by winning the second game, taking the match into the third game.
In third game, Sindhu was dominating before the break. But Marin took her game to another level after the break, taking the match down to the wire. Both the players committed mistakes in third game, following which each point was hard earned in the final game. However, Sindhu Showed nerves of steel, and won the game.
After Winning the game, World No 3 Sindhu said, "I knew this was going to be a tough match, but I was patient and focused."
"I thanked the fans for supporting me throughout the match," she added. In another matches too, defending champion Hunters emerged victorious, winning the Tie with 6 points, whereas Pune scored -1 point. (UNI)
