Adelaide, Dec 7: As the game resumes for the last session of the day the Australians are struggling at 127 for six.
Ishant Sharma dismissed Australian captain Paine at 5 in 62.6 overs. Australia is still 123 runs behind India's first innings of 250. Australia completed 150 runs in 69.4 overs. After the tea session, Bumrah took his first wicket by dismissing Handscomb on 34 in 57.3 overs. Australia's score before tea break was 117/4, with Handscomb on 33 and Head on 17.
Ashwin took three wickets for 38 by restricting Australia to 117/4 before tea. Ashwin bagged the wickets of Marcus Harris, Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja.
Marsh, who was bowled by Ashwin after an inside edge deflected the ball onto the stumps, hence broke an unwanted 130-year-old record in Australian cricket. Michael Clark tweets "India winning the war of attrition at the moment. Building pressure with lots of dot balls". (UNI)
