Kolkata, Nov 5: Bengal's Ranji Trophy opener against Himachal Pradesh ended in draw as Tiwary and men could grab only 3 points due to first innings lead in Amtar today.
Bengal batters Abhimanyu Easwaran and Abhishek Raman hit half-centuries on the final day to help Bengal score 203/3 at the end of the day's play. Earlier, starting the day from 302/9 Himachal could only manage to score 324 as Ishan Porel removed G Singh to give Bengal a 56-run first innings lead.
Raman scored a 207-ball 87 while Easwaran made 76 as the match ended in draw. Bengal are second in the Elite, Group B points table.
After the match Bengal batter Abhishek Raman said, "Getting runs always brings in more confidence to the team. Our batters were getting starts but were failing to convert it into big scores. Even today I was unlucky but as long as you are getting runs it's good for your moral." (UNI)
