Balaji-Nedunchezhiyan lose doubles final in China

Chandigarh, Nov 5: Top seeded Indian pair of N Sriram Balaji-Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan were beaten by second seeds Cheng-Peng Gsieh (Taipei) and Christopher Rungkat (Indonesia) in the doubles final of the Dollar 75,000 Shenzhen International Challenger in China on Saturday.

Hsieh-Rungkat wrapped up the title clash in just 56 minutes as they registered straight sets 6-4, 6-2 verdict. Hsieh-Rungkat played aggressive tennis and won 90 per cent points on first service and 38 points on the first service. They saved two of three break points and won four out of nine break points.

Balaji-Nedunchezhiyan could win 67 per cent points on their first service and 38 points on their second service. They saved five out of nine break points and could win a solitary break from three. Hsieh-Rungkat earned Dollar 4650 and 90 points while runners-up Balaji-Nedunchezhiyan won Dollar 2700 and 55 points. UNI
