Hyderabad, Oct 12: West Indies face another setback in the second test against India at Hyderabad by losing three early wickets at lunch,86/3.
West Indies won the toss and opted to bat in the second and final test against India being played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal here on Friday. For India, Umesh, Kuldeep and Ashwin picked up a wicket each. India’s debut player for Test, pacer Shardul Thakur, has to left the field due to an ankle injury. Kieran Powell became Ravichandran Ashwin’s 500th First Class wicket when he was caught by Jadeja a short. Kuldeep Yadav gets the wicket of Kraigg Brathwaite. Shai Hope is removed by Umesh Yadav for 36.
Windies ploy was to try and win the second test after a dismal show in the first test held in Rajkot. Pacer Shardul Takur has been given a Test debut in Indian team. Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur are going to lead the Indian pace attack against West Indies.
In the last test, India registered highest total against West Indies and their biggest win against them.Skipper Virat Kohli and his team will once again look to overpower the visitors, which is unlikely to put up a challenge against the No 1 Test side in their own backyard. However, a major relief for the visitors will be the return of pacer Kemar Roach and all rounder Jason Holder, who were not in the playing XI for the first Test.
