Zak turns 40: Laxman, Harbhajan wish reverse swinger on his birthday

Mumbai, Oct 8: Former Indian pace bowler Zaheer Khan known for reverse swing who created fears among batsmen during his career turned 40 on Sunday with former and present cricketers wishing the fast bowler.

Birthday wishes came in from VVS Laxman, Harbhajan Singh and Aakash Chopra through twitter. "That moment when @ImZaheer registered his best ODI figures. Here's wishing a very Happy Birthday to one of #TeamIndia's finest pace bowlers," BCCI also wrote on its twitter handle.

With a 15-year long career Zaheer played 92 Tests taking 311 wickets his best being 7/87 in an innings. In ODIs from 200 matches he took 282 wickets his best being 5/42 against Sri Lanka.

He has credit of eleven five-wicket hauls in Tests and one ten-wicket haul against Bangladesh in 2010. In ODIs, Zaheer still remains the fourth highest wicket taker for India after Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath and Ajit Agarkar. In Tests, Zaheer stands fourth after Kumble, Kapil Dev and Harbhajan Singh.

He was instrumental in India's 2011 World Cup triumph with 21 wickets in the tournament. UNI
