Dhaka, Oct 7 : Harsh Tyagi's 38/6 brilliant bowling spell and fine batting by top order helped India U-19 team notch 114 runs victory against Sri Lanka in the finals of the U-19 Asia Cup here on Sunday.
Indian U-19 team too followed the footprints of Senior team who recently won the Asia Cup beating Bangladesh in the finals by three wickets.
In the finals India set a target of 304 runs after losing 3 wickets before the Sri Lanka, but Lankan batting line-up crumbled for 160 runs after 38.4 overs.
India have won the U-19 Asia Cup for the sixth time. They have earlier won the tournament in 1989, 2003, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. In 2012 India was joint winner of the tournament.
For India, Y Jaiswal 85, Anuj Rawat 57, Devdutt Padikkal 31, skipper Prab Simran Singh 65 and Ayush Badoni 52 who remained unbeaten have made spectacular performance.
Jaiswal and Rawat after facing 25.1 overs added 121 runs in their first wicket partnership and then Jaiswal and Padikkal stitched 59 runs for second wicket. Skipper Prab Simran and Badoni went on to add 110 runs for their fourth wicket partnership remaining not out taking India's score beyond 300.
Jaiswal contributed 85 off 113 with 8 fours and a six, Rawat 57 off 79 hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes, while Padikkal's 31 came off in 43 balls with 1 four and a six.
Skipper Prab Simran 65 off 37 not out with 3 fours and 4 fours and Badoni also remained unbeaten scoring 52 off 28 with 2 fours and 5 sixes UNI
