Jakarta, Sep 1: India's Pranab Bardhan and Shibnath Sarkar have won gold medal in men's pair event of bridge competition at the 18th Asian Games held here on Saturday.
With this gold medal in Bridge men's pair, India have equalled their best gold medal tally at the Asian Games with a 15th Gold. The 60-year-old Pranab Bardhan and 56-year-old Shibnath finished at the top after scoring 384 points in the finals. Pranab Bardhan has also become the oldest medal winner at this year's Asian Games.
Silver medal was bagged by the Chinese pair of Lixin Yang and Gang Chen. They could score only 378 only, 6 points shorter than Indian team. The bronze winners, a pair from Indonesia, scored 374 points. UNI
