Jakarta, Aug 29: India's boxer Vikas Krishan (75kg) entered into the semi-finals at the 18th Asian Games held here on Wednesday.
Chinese boxer Tuoheta Erbieke fought Krishan till the end, but Krishan made it 3-2 and with this win he assured another medal for India in boxing. In the second bout Chinese boxer landed a few blows on Krishan, although Vikas was maintaining his balance extremely well.
Erbieke used his height to create problem for Krishan. Later, the bout was stopped owing to a small cut above Krishan's left eye, and the first round ended with a couple of solid punches landed by the Chinese boxer on the Indian. (UNI)
