Jakarta, Aug 21: India's 16-year-old boy, Saurabh Chaudhary, who made his debut at the Asian Games, has won the gold in the Men's 10m Air Pistol event in Indonesia.
Saurabh scored a record 240.7 points to beat Japan's Tomoyuki Matsuda (239.7) in a thrilling final. The error made by Japan's Matsuda in his last shot also helped Saurabh to grab the gold in the neck-and-neck contest. The score 240.7 made by Saurabh Chaudhury is a record making score.
Another Indian, Abhishek Verma won a bronze for India in the same event. 29 year old Abhishek Verma also made a debut in Asiad. Abhishek settled with 219.3 points to finish third.
With this victory, India's total medal tally rose to 3 gold, two silver and a bronze.
