Indian ace shuttler PV Sindhu entered the semi-finals of the Thailand Open after thrashing Malaysia's Soniia Cheah in the quarter-finals here on Friday.
Sindhu, the number two seed, thrashed Cheah in straight sets 21-17, 21-13 finishing the game in just 26 minutes. The first game was a close contest, but Sindhu ended it by a brilliant forehand smash winning the first game. Sindhu will now face Gregorian Mariska of Indonesia tomorrow.
Earlier, Indian players Satwik Rankireddy/Ashwini Ponnappa, HS Prannoy, Parupalli Kashyap, Manu Attri/Sumeeth Reddy all bowed out of the tournament Thursday. (UNI)
