Vivek Kohli to be Sikkim Advocate General

Gangtok, Jun 19 : The Sikkim Governor on Wednesday appointed Vivek Kohli as the new Advocate General of Sikkim.
He will be taking over from A Mariaputham.
In keeping with Article 165, clause (1) of the Constitution, Kohli has been appointed with immediate effect.
A Delhi University law degree holder, Kohli has been practising since 1991 in the Supreme Court. He has been credited with drafting of significant documents viz ‘Border Protection Measures’ under the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights Agreement (TRIPS) and helped Government of India in framing draft ‘Rules of refund of Anti Dumping Duty and Distribution of License. He is a partner in ZEUS Law, a full service Corporate commercial Law firm, main office Delhi.  (UNI)
