Jaipur, May 25 : Rajasthan reported 131 fresh cases and six deaths on Thursday, taking the infection count in the state to 7,947 and fatalities to 179.
As per bulletin issued by the health department, of the new cases, Jhalwar recorded 69 cases, Pali 13, Bharatpur 12, Kota eight, Jaipur seven, Churu and Nagaur five each, Dausa four and Ajmer one. As many as 1909 cases have been detected in Jaipur so far, 1311 in Jodhpur, 523 in Udaipur, 422 in Kota, 421 in Nagaur, 394 in Pali 332 in Dungarpur, 311 in Ajmer, 165 in Bharatpur, 175 in Chittorgarh, 164 in Sikar, 163 in Tonk, 141 in Sirohi, 135 in Rajsamand and 134 in Bhilwara.
Till now, 94 cases have been recorded in Bikaner, 92 in Barmer, 90 in Churu, 85 each in Banswara , 51 in Alwar, 50 in Dausa, 48 in BSF, 45 in Dholpur, 21 in Hanumangarh,19 in Sawai Madhopur, 13 in Pratapgarh, 11 in Karauli, eight in Baran and five in Sri Ganganagar. Of 3,50,600 samples sent for testing, 7,947 tested positive, 3,38,611 negative and reports of 3202 are awaited. Active cases in the desert case stand at 3202. (UNI)
