Jaipur, May 25 : Rajasthan registered 109 fresh cases and two deaths on Wednesday, pushing the infection tally in the state to 7,645 and fatalities to 172.
As per bulletin issued by the health department, of the new cases, Jhalwar recorded 64, Kota 16, Nagaur 12, Jaipur and Bharatpur six each, two in Jhunjhunu and Dasuya and Karauli one each. Till now, 1278 tested positive for the contagion in Jodhpur, 1866 in Jaipur, 517 in Udaipur, 416 in Nagaur, 412 in Kota, 360 in Pali, 331 in Dungarpur, 309 in Ajmer, 174 in Chittorgarh, 159 in Tonk, 151 in Sikar, 149 in Bharatpur, 139 in Sirohi and 135 in Jhalwar.
So far, 154 cases have been detected in Jalore, 127 in Bhilwara, 126 in Rajsamand, 98 in Jhunjhunu, 91 in Barmer, 86 in Bikaner, 85 each in Banswara and Churu, 68 in Jaisalmer, 51 in Alwar, 48 in BSF, 46 in Dausa, 43 in Dholpur, two in Ganganagar,19 in Sawai Madhopur, 14 in Hanumangarh, 13 in Pratapgarh,11 in Karauli and five in Baran. As many as 3,37,159 samples have been tested, of which 7645are found positive, 3,26,368 negative and reports of 3146 are awaited. Active cases in the desert case stand at 3190. (UNI)
