Second Covid19 casualty in Rajasthan as Bhilwara patient dies

A 60-year-old man, resident of Najariyawas, Raipur in Bhilwara Rajasthan, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus, died at the government hospital on Thursday night.

With the death of Narayan Singh, the fatality due to COVID-19 in Bhilwara, Rajasthan has gone up to two.

The state Health Department added that the patient had co-morbidity in terms of high blood pressure and kidney problems which led to his demise.

Due to a heart ailment he was initially treated in Swastik Hospital and was later admitted to MG Government Hospital Bhilwara as suspect Covid patient and was in isolation in ICU. He had hypertension and kidney problems. As per Bhilwara health authorities, he died because of dysfunctional kidney and other complications. His test result for Covid 19 showed positive

However, the State Medical and Health Department attributed his death to prolonged coma condition due to 'chronic kidney diseases, failure and brain stroke which he suffered since March 3, 2020. But the government considers it as Covid19 death.

As of now there are 43 positive cases of COVID and 3444 are suspected in Rajasthan.
