Jaipur, Jul 5 : Intermittent rains in Rajasthan's Ajmer district on Friday threw life out of gear, following which district administration declared a holiday.
In Pushkar, school children, teachers and office goers faced a tough time reaching their respective destinations. Intermittent rains have been lashing the region since Thursday night.
Though rainfall from 0400 hrs to 0500 hrs and from 0700 hrs to 0800 hrs provided respite from hot weather, people residing in low-lying areas have to face tough time as rainwater entered their houses and left streets inundated. Water logging on the streets are giving a harrowing time to the residents of Nagra area.
Kekri, Naseeerabad, Pisangan in Ajmer recorded good rainfall. With the monsoons being active in the state, India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains till July 7.( UNI)
