New Delhi, May 30: BJP lawmaker from Bikaner in Rajasthan and Minister of State for Finance in the outgoing ministry Arjun Ram Meghwal on Thursday confirmed on him getting a call for joining the new government.

"I have got the call to be sworn in as minister," Meghawal told reporters here.

Though he did not elaborate whether he will still remain a junior minister or get the more powerful cabinet berth, Meghawal said, "At around 4.30 pm we all have been asked to meet the Prime Minister for an informal meeting in his official residence. The roadmap will be worked out under the guidance of the Prime Minister in that meeting."

Meghawal has been representing the Bikaner seat since 2009. In the just-concluded polls, Meghawal, a former civil servant, polled over 59 per cent of votes and defeated Congress nominee Madangopal Meghwal. (UNI)
