Jodhpur, May 28 : Twelve people, including two teenage girls and four women died, and seven seriously injured in a collision of two cars in Balasare Police station area of Jodhpur district of Rajasthan on Tuesday.
According to police, a car carrying the passengers who were heading to attend a marriage ceremony in Joliyali area in the district hit another car coming from the opposite direction just near Tolasar village in Aagolai area at around 2300 hours on Monday.
The intensity of the collision was so strong that more than half the dozen people died on the spot. Some of the critically injured died on way to a hospital. One of the wounded died in the hospital.
The deceased included Sua Devi of Saanvreej village; Seema and Premi of Bhojapur village; Swaroopram of Bhojasar village; Nisha of Gumanpura; Gautam, Narayan Singh, Sunny, Devravarsingh of Somosar village; Sheikh Ajmal of Hingoli and Baburam and his wife Dhai of Bajju in Bikaner.Baburam died on Tuesday morning.The seven injured are being treated at the MDM hospital.
