Hitting out at JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav for his sexist remarks, Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday said she felt “insulted” by former JD (U) leader calling her fat while campaigning in the state.
As part of the election campaign at a rally in Rajasthan’s Alwar, Sharad Yadav had said, “Give some rest to Vasundhara, she has become very tired, very fat. She used to be thin. ”
After casting her vote in Jhalrapatan constituency on Friday she responded to media: “I actually feel insulted and I think even women are insulted”.
“We never issue personal statements against any leader and it is not civilized behavior. To set an example for future it’s important that EC takes cognisance of this kind of language,” she said, referring to Yadav’s comment.
