Jaipur, Nov 27 : The ruling BJP in Rajasthan has promised for enactment of the Urban Employment Guarantee Act for job needing people in urban areas on the lines of the MGNREGA and also committed for measures for enhancing the income of farmers in next five years in the event of the party retaining the power for another term in the state after assembly polls.
The party's "Gaurav Sankalp Patra"(manifesto) released here on Tuesday by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, also promised for recruiting 30,000 youths in government jobs every year and creating employment avenues for 50 lakh in government, private and corporate sector in the next five years.
The party also assured of unemployment allowance of Rs 5000 to jobless youth and facilities of training- coaching for yoga and recruitment in army, at district and block levels.
Plans for universal health insurance, strengthening the road network and enhancement of irrigation capacity and supply of drinking water, has also been promised in the document.
During past five years, employment avenues were created for 42 lakh people and 3.5 lakh were benefited under the Centre and the state government projects and schemes, CM Ms Raje said.(UNI)
