Chandigarh, Jun 5 : Rainfall in the northwest region due to the western disturbance has been active for the last three days and there are chances of rain in some places in the next twenty four hours. According to the meteorological center, there is a possibility of drizzle along with thunderstorms somewhere in the region.
Due to the rains in Himachal Pradesh and elsewhere in the region for the last several days, mercury dropped sharply due to which the temperature of Chandigarh, Ambala, Karnal was 33 degrees, Hisar 37 degrees, Narnaul 34 degrees, Rohtak 29 degrees respectively. There was rain in some places in Haryana also.
Amritsar in Punjab was 35 degrees, Ludhiana 35 degrees, Patiala 34 degrees, Pathankot 34 degrees, Adampur 36 degrees, Halwara 36 degrees, Bathinda 36 degrees, Delhi 35 degreeS 1841, Srinagar 28 degrees and Jammu's temperature was 34 degrees. Himachal Pradesh received rains at many places. Shimla received the highest 73 mm rainfall which affected the normal life.
The mercury of Shimla was 20 degrees, Kangda 31 degrees, Manali 21 degrees, Bhuntar 28 degrees, Dharamshala 26 degrees, Sundernagar 29 degrees, Nahan 25 degrees, Una 35 degrees, Solan 26 degrees and Kalpa 17 degrees. Rain is expected in the next 24 hours. (UNI)
