Punjab: Two held with 20,000 narcotic pills in Moga

Moga, May 17 : Punjab Police on late Saturday apprehended two persons with around 20,000 narcotic pills here, the police said on Sunday. Acting on a tip off, Kot ise Khan Police of this district headed by SP Investigation Harinderpal Singh and DSP Dharamkot Yadwinder Singh had put a Naka near Mandir village where they signaled to stop a Toyota Car.

Despite the police's signal, the car occupants tried to flee away, but in vain, as they were overtaken by the police party. Both the occupants, Vinod Kumar alias Baba Sonu of Harike Tarn Taran and Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha of Talwandi Jalle Khan near Kot Sadar Khan of Moga district were then immediately arrested. 'The police have booked a case under NDPS Act', the SP said. (UNI)
