Tarlochan Singh asks Punjab ministers to stand unitedly to get financial aid from Centre

Agency News

Moga, May 13 : Former Rajya Sabha MP Tarlochan Singh on Wednesday questioned the whereabouts of all the elected representatives of Punjab at a time of this pandemic when the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh needs them the most. There are 13 Lok Sabha and 7 Rajya Sabha members in the state, but during the time of need, no one is to be found anywhere.

"Are they locked inside their houses while Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is single-handedly holding talks for more financial aid with the Centre?" he asked. Mr Singh pointed out how both the houses of the British Parliament (House of Commons and Lords) pressurised the government to arrange for special flights to get back its citizens from different parts of India during the current lockdown and said, "But here instead of working unitedly, the MPs and MLAs from Punjab have left all the responsibilities for the Chief Minister, who is fighting alone for his people." "If all the 20 ministers unite, Punjab can work its way to get financial aid from the Narendra Modi-led government," he added. (UNI)
