Sukhbir Singh Badal hands over imported Covid testing machine to Jalalabad Civil Hospital

Muktsar/Fazilka, Apr 27 : ShiromaniAkali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Monday handed over an imported Covid testing machine worth of Rs 20 lakh to the Jalalabad civil hospital to assist in measures to contain the deadly virus in the state.

He also provided 50,000 bottles of sanitiser for the people of this parliamentary constituency. Earlier, he had given one fully equipped Ambulance for the constituency, with an objective that no one is deprived of medical assistance in border belt. Interacting with newsmen after handing over the testing machine to the district administration, the SAD Chief said it was shocking that the Covid death rate in Punjab was highest in the country which must be contained with corrective measures including ramping up of medical infrastructure immediately.

“Punjab requires enhancing of its testing operations across the state as the corona disease can only be contained by tracing, testing and treating of the suspected cases. I have given this machine to facilitate the testing of corona cases at mass level in this border district,” he added. Badal said he would provide 1 lakh sanitiser bottles to the people of this constituency.
