Chandigarh, Apr 8: Rejecting media reports, Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Wednesday made it clear that no decision has been taken as of now on whether to extend the curfew in the state beyond April 14. Terming such reports as purely speculative and unfounded, he categorically said the State Government was yet to take a decision in the matter.
"A decision in this regard would be taken after the cabinet meeting scheduled for April 10," he added. He clarified that the speculation regarding the extension of the curfew was triggered by an advisory given to the government employees from the General Administration department on a series of matters with regards to the current situation. The said advisory has subsequently been withdrawn by the Chief Secretary on his directives, Capt Amarinder added. (UNI)
