Moga, Feb 22 : With an aim to promote alternative and traditional system of medicine, Punjab Health Minister on Saturday laid the foundation stone of 50-bed ayurvedic, yoga and naturopathy, unani, siddha and homeopathy (AYUSH) hospital at Duneke village in this district.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sidhu said the hospital will be completed within 15 months at an estimated cost Rs 6.16 crore to be built on five-kanals land. He said that the construction of the hospital will be started immediately so that it will complete within stipulated period. The Minister also said that Moga will soon have a trauma centre on the seven kanals of land just adjacent to the Ayush Hospital.
The Ayush Hospital will be established in four-floor building in which facilities like wards, outdoor patient department, panchkarma centre, yoga room, lab, dispensary, audiometry room, canteen, pantry, meeting hall, administrative office, recovery room etc will be set up on first three floors while the fourth floor has been kept reserved for any extension of the hospital in future.
