Over one lakh people participate in ‘Run for Unity’ programme

Chandigarh, Oct 31 : Over one lakh people participated in the ‘Run for Unity’ programme organized in all districts of the State on the occasion of 144th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal participated in the State Level Function organized on this occasion at Panchkula near here. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala participated in the function organized on this occasion at Gurugram today.

Maximum number of 9,500 participants took part in the Run for Unity programme in district Panipat followed by 7,000 participants in district Gurugram, 6,500 in district Kurukshetra, 6,300 in district Hisar, 6,000 in district Karnal, 5,500 in district Rohtak, 5,000 each in district Ambala, Narnaul, Sonipat, Fatehabad and Yamunanagar, 4,000 each in Jhajjar and Kaithal districts, 3,000 in district Sirsa, 5,500 in district Faridabad, 3,500 in district Jind, 2,800 in district Nuh, 2,600 in district Panchkula, 2,000 in district Palwal, 1,800 in district Rewari, 5,500 in district Bhiwani, 1,500 in district Charkhi Dadri and 1,100 in Hansi.
