Budh Singh Wala, Moga, Sep 12 : Punjab Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (PAMETI) organised a three-day training on ‘Digital Media for Farm Journalism and its Content Development’ from September 9-11 and was attended by 22 participants from State Agriculture & Allied departments and ATMA.
During the inauguration session, Dr H S Dhaliwal, Director PAMETI explained that in this digital age, use of various digital platforms for disseminating agricultural information to farmers is highly significant. The objective of the training is to make trainees aware about various digital media platforms and their importance for farm journalism and the training would be focussed on imparting skills for effective development for social media posts.
Various resource persons from PAU interacted with the participants related to different aspects of the training.
Prof. Gurbhajan Gill, Retd. faculty from communication dept. PAU imparted writing skills to trainees in which they can use digital media to reach the unreached. Participants were also practically trained in delivering effective radio and TV talk during the training.
A role play session was conducted where the participants were given a chance to deliver a mock TV talk.
An exposure visit to AIR FM Gold Radio Station, Ludhiana was also arranged where trainees interacted with the experts and learned about how to write a script for radio programmes and deliver it. They also participated in the mock session on radio talk too.UNI
